Located in the Marques Pombal area, a few steps from the famous Avenida Liberdade, Paralelo45 is a comfortable and cosy restaurant where the dishes are elaborated from fresh local products in an open kitchen with a very special franco portuguese touch.
Created first as a wine bar by French entrepreneur Emmanuel Valery-Laville in November 2016, Paralelo 45 has been a fine dining restaurant for the past 3 years. Since its transition, the establisment has been awarded prizes in gastronomy contests such as "Lisboa a prova" twice, has earned the traveller's choice award (issued by Tripadvisor to restaurants ranked in the top 10% of establisments worldwide) and is part of The Fork Insider which selects the best fine dining restaurants in the city.
The “À La Carte Menu” is created and renewed every season by the young and talented Chef Alison Leroy who takes pleasure in mixing Portuguese and French influences in her «cuisine».
This trendy « Bistro » is the perfect place to discover a menu full of Comfort and surprises at the same time.
The «lamb shank» cooked as a tribute to Chef Paul Boccuse, the chicken breast and chestnut in two textures or the duck “vol-au-vent” will bring you warmth, comfort and childhood flavours.
Meanwhile, the Portuguese grilled octopus created with inspirations from the south of France, the filet mignon and its port wine sauce or the black pork “cocotte” and many other unexpected mixes of savours will surprise your palate.
Everyday at lunch time, the Chef and her team create a “menu of the day” based on the daily inspiration and the fresh products that were presented to us by our friendly suppliers on the same morning. In order to please our guests with this particular menu, we focus on flavours, the variety of the dishes and last but not least, the quality price ratio to ensure a lovely but affordable experience. 14€ is the price for the menu of the day with a starter and a main course or a main course and dessert paired with a glass of wine and finalized with a nice coffee. 17€ entitles you to experiment the complete menu of the day. If you hear «service» coming from a confident voice inside the open kitchen, it means the Chef is about to finish plating a dish and that your octopus, lamb shank or black pork might be on its way to your table!
